Below we've laid out our recruitment process to help you gain a training contract at Taylor Wessing.
Summer Vacation Scheme
The Summer Vacation Scheme is a great opportunity to get a first sense of life at the firm and a flavour of the work and people you’ll be working alongside. Our Summer Vacation Scheme is the only way to be considered for a training contract position at the firm. To be eligible, you'll need to be in your second year of your degree or beyond.
Stage 1: Application form
You'll be required to submit an online application which details your work and education history, and you'll also need to answer some competency questions. We work with Rare Contextualised Recruitment, so every application we receive is looked at in context.

Stage 2: Online assessment
After screening your online application you'll be required to complete an online assessment. Once completed, you’ll be notified as to whether you have been successful in gaining a place at our assessment centre.
Stage 3: Assessment centre
Taking place between January and March, the assessment centre is the final stage of our process.
Our assessment centres are designed to be flexible and welcoming, testing your abilities in a friendly environment. During the assessment centre, you'll complete a group exercise, written exercise, commercial awareness exercise and competency-based interview.
The group exercise is a chance to showcase your teamwork, group debate and presentation skills. The commercial awareness and written exercises are an opportunity for you to show your commerciality, relevant to a career at Taylor Wessing.
You’ll also attend your competency-based interview with one of our partners and either a senior associate or member of the Talent team. In the interview we’ll learn more about you, your motivations and the skills you have for a successful career with us.
Stage 4: Vacation Scheme offer
If you're successful, you'll receive a Vacation scheme offer. More detailed information on what to expect during your scheme is available here.
Stage 5: Training contract offer
During your Vacation Scheme you will be assessed for a training contract by completing a group task and via feedback we receive from representatives from the firm. If you are successful, you will be provided with a training contract offer at the end of the scheme.
